For all foodie’s out there, theGreat Missenden Easter Food Festivalwill be hosting a huge range of activities over the Easter weekend (25th – 28th March). There will be a cookery theatre, have-a-go workshops and a wide range of artisan food on offer amongst many other stalls and events.
There will be celebrity chef demonstrations from Simon Rimmer (best known for C4’s Sunday Brunch) who will be cooking up a storm on Sunday afternoon and also from Ian Cumming from the Great British Bake Off who will be showing you how to add a twist to your bakes on Easter Monday! There are plenty of activities for children giving them the chance to get involved in the kitchen or simply enjoy the rides and slides. This year there will be Wild Food Foraging Walks or the adventurous foodies.
The National Trust has got a winning formula in place when it comes to Easter and keeping everyone happy. Cliveden,Hughenden Manor, the Ashridge Estate and Waddesdon Manorhave teamed up with Cadbury’s to host fun and educational trails through their grounds. When you have cracked all the clues you are rewarded a Cadbury’s egg. The trails run from 25th March – 28th March and cost £3 to enter which includes the all-important chocolate egg!
It’s a traditional Easter in the Chilterns over at the award winning Chiltern Open AirMuseum. The centre will be inviting you to make traditional Easter sweet treats, get stuck in with themed crafts, and join in the egg hunt and a range of traditional family games amongst many other fun activities.
This year Odds Farmwill be putting on a spring trail around the farm as well as bottle feeding the lambs.
The fabulous Roald Dahl Museumin Great Missenden will be organising a number of Easter themed events including: Whipple-scrumptious Easter egg decorating and Wonka Egg Cup decorating.
