A recent survey by the Royal Mail has revealed that residents in Bucks are some of the brainiest in the country with Gerrards Cross taking the top spot. The survey looked at the brainiest postcode districts and students living within the SL9 postcode of Gerrards Cross came top of the class for GCSE results. Bucks came out very well in the survey with local towns of Amersham and Beaconsfield clinching second and fourth places.
On average, the students in Gerrards Cross received a GCSE point score of 392 for their top eight subjects, which is equivalent to an average of 4 A grades and 4 B grades. Students in the HP6, the Amersham postcode, scored 390 and HP9, Beaconsfield postcode, scored 385 points.
When it came to A Level results Altrincham, in Cheshire, secured the top spot with Gerrards Cross in fourth place and Beaconsfield in 10th place.
