When my husband and I found out that we would be relocating to the UK for a two year assignment we were delighted. Our excitement quickly faded to concern as we realized the difficulty of locating a home to United Kingdom from the other side of the Atlantic in the one week we were allocated as part of the package. A two day schedule of property viewings
On one day's notice, Sharon took our jumbled requirements for a home and transformed them into a concise two day schedule which enabled us to view a variety of properties in several neighborhoods and gain insight into the daily life at our future home. Sharon put together an efficient schedule that maximized the number of homes we viewed. On both mornings, Sharon picked us up at our hotel and drove us to each location saving us the nerve racking experience of driving on the other side of the road and finding addresses in an unknown area. Her expertise with the general area was clearly demonstrated in the consistent quality of the locations we viewed. Sharon kept the schedule flexible and adaptable to ensure that our time was used most efficiently.
Introductions to different communities
In addition to the basic home search services, Sharon also introduced us to each community by explaining the attributes and attractions of each area. Sharon understood that it was important for us to know as much about the community as the home and took special effort to help us view each area as thoroughly as possible. Once we chose our prospective home, Sharon negotiated the contract on our behalf and helped us finalize the deal. She is now in the process of helping us locate temporary living accommodations (until our furniture arrives) and has provided invaluable references for people whom we can contact to help facilitate other aspects of our new life in the UK.
