Finding the right property near schools and transport links

In January 2008 Mr and Mrs S were being moved from the USA to Wimbledon due to a job relocation within the Microsoft Organisation. They are a family of three children and the children’s schooling was one of the priorities together with finding a home within a reasonable commute to Reading.

Two day search helps familiarise the family and find the perfect property

Chiltern Relocation took Mr S out for an intensive day acquainting himself with the area and viewing seventeen houses in one day. We then shortlisted suitable properties and added a few new ones and set out, with the help of a people carrier, with the family for a second day of searching. This enabled all the family to find a home and learn about the advantages of one area over another.

A property was found and successfully negotiated for. Next on the agenda was to find a suitable school within walking distance of the new home. A school assessment of all the local schools was created outlining their National League table scores, availability and their strengths and weaknesses. Four school visits were organised and viewed.
