See which of your local restaurants feature in the Good Food Guide Top 50 Awards!

We always knew that we had some pretty special restaurants on our doorstep here in the Chilterns and The Good Food Guide  is certainly in agreement. The restaurant gurus have just published their Top 50 for 2019 and we have three restaurants in the Chilterns in the top league.

The Fat Duck in Bray features at no 18 as Heston Blumenthal continues to wow his diners with his experimental cuisine.

Orwells is situated in the village of Binfield Heath near Henley-on-Thames came in at no 28. Set within an 18th century pub building, it specialises in exquisite monthly seasonal tasting menus.

Artichoke in Amersham was number 48 located in a timbered 16th century building in Old Amersham, the restaurant oozes understated charm.

The awards also highlighted outstanding restaurants by county and we were delighted to see an impressive haul of restaurants in the Chilterns all receiving high accolades from the judging panel. So if you are thinking of eating out in the near future take a look at the list of highlighted eateries below and take your pick.

Marlow features highly with five restaurants The Coach, Hand and Flowers, Sindhu,  The Vanilla Pod, and The Royal Oaks receiving mention. The Royal Oak is currently being repaired due to a tumble dryer fault in (Sept 2019).
