The Initial Enquiry
Making the move out of London to live within catchment of one of Buckinghamshire’s highly regarded state grammar schools is one of the main reasons that families get in touch with Chiltern Relocation. We were contacted by a family who had already done their homework and they wanted to live within catchment of Dr Challoner’s Grammar School in Amersham. They had made many trips out to the area but with twin boys and a three year old girl in tow they felt they were not able to fully embrace the search and their trips to date had been fruitless.
How we helped
We met the couple in London to run through their requirements and discussed all the local school catchment areas and concluded that the village of Penn – near Beaconsfield and Amersham – would fulfill all of the needs of the family. By moving here they would be within catchment for The Royal Grammar School (RGS) and John Hampden School for the boys and Beaconsfield High School and Wycombe High School for their daughter, thereby opening up a range of possible options. They ideally wanted a house with character and through our network of contacts we were able to gain an early viewing on a beautiful ‘chocolate box’ house overlooking Penn village green.
Problems we faced
The house received a lot of offers but with Chiltern Relocation’s tried and tested approach to sealed bids we were delighted that our bid was successful.
The family moved into the beautiful village of Penn and thoroughly embraced the rural feel twinned with the proximity to the larger local towns of High Wycombe and Beaconsfield.
With three young children, and living in London, it was essential that we found someone who we could trust to find us the right home with as little need for us to spend time travelling out to see things as possible. Sharon helped set our sights, learnt our likes and dislikes very quickly, was super-efficient and very helpful, and ultimately managed to negotiate us through a pretty tricky purchase. We were absolutely delighted with the overall experience and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Chiltern Relocation very highly. Nick and NatashaNick and Natasha
