Slough is located 23 miles west of London and with commuting times of 17 minutes into London Paddington. The town is best known for being home to numerous large international companies and as such, Slough boasts an ethnically diverse community as witnessed by the great variety of shopping and restaurants in the surrounding area.


Slough is currently going through epic transformation of the town and this includes a newly constructed state of the art library and cultural centre. The town offers a wide range of sports and leisure facilities including a popular ice skating Arena which will be refurbished shortly. Just moments from Slough is the internationally famous Olympic Eton Dorney rowing lake where many people enjoy learning to row or simply walking or cycling around the lake. There is also an excellent café at Eton Dorney.


Slough is also very well placed for its proximity to Heathrow, the M4, M25. Many people who work in Slough, but do not wish to live in such a busy town, choose to live in Windsor, Maidenhead and Gerrards Cross where there are excellent schooling options available. Many also seek out the attractive smaller towns and villages nearby such as Farnham Common, Denham and Cookham.


Slough is only 8 minutes from Stoke Park Country Club which boasts a fabulous golf course, tennis courts, hotel and spa. Stoke Park has also been the location for many famous films such as Goldfinger and Bridget Jones Diary.
