Why Chiltern Relocation loves Windsor:

We love Windsor Castle and the feel of the historic town. Windsor Great Park offers great walks, cycle routes and horse riding just minutes from the heart of the cosmopolitan town.

Windsor is probably best known for the three reasons: Windsor Castle, LEGOLAND and Eton College. Windsor attracts large number of tourists every day, which certainly gives a buzz to the town with all the visiting nationalities. A royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the Castle remains a working palace today and is well worth visiting.

Windsor easily accommodates all its many visitors with a wide range of excellent cafes and restaurants and great shopping arcades. The town is situated 21 miles west of central London and is immediately south of the River Thames with its many river-based pursuits.

Windsor is also well known for being the home of LEGOLAND and the new LEGOLAND Hotel. Locals often buy a season ticket making LEGOLAND a popular year round destination.

Eton College founded in 1440 by Henry VI has educated nineteen British Prime Ministers and remains a focal point of the town.

Other attractions include the Windsor Great Park with miles of fabulous walks, a play area and the opportunity to watch polo ponies practicing on Smiths Lawn. Royal Windsor Racecourse is also a popular venue with a range of evening race meetings during the summer months.

Not surprisingly Windsor and the surrounding areas contain some of the most expensive and desirable housing in the UK.
