Chiltern Relocation regularly attends local networking events as we value the opportunity to chat to local businesses, talk about trends that others are witnessing and of course make connections with other companies.
At the recent Business Connections networking event in Gerrards Cross, Sharon had the opportunity to speak to an Intellectual Property lawyer and chat about what we do as part of our corporate relocation services. The lawyer had recently offered a job to a candidate based in Leicester and was hopeful that the future employee would accept the role. On chatting to Chiltern Relocation, he realised that if he was able to provide a relocation service for the future employee – which would take the stress out of the move – that it would provide further incentive for the candidate to accept the role. On returning to the office, Chiltern Relocation received an email from the legal company to engage our services to provide a full employee relocation service for the future employee.
How we helped
On receiving the email our relocation consultant set up a Viewing Day with eight viewings for the corporate employee. The client needed to be based High Wycombe so a number of different options were available to view. The employee was looking for a property that was close to the station and within walking distance of good schools.
Problems we faced
This was a very smooth relocation with a decisive employer and an employee who was very invested in the house search and really appreciated the relocation package he was being offered. The only set back we faced was the fact that the rental market moves very fast so we had to be very decisive and act quickly in order to secure the preferred property. We were thrilled to have a viewing schedule with twelve possible properties to view the day before however given the rental market moves so quickly the number available to view on the day reduced to eight.
Conclusion
Appreciating that he had seen a wide range of available options and gained a really good understanding of different areas of High Wycombe, the client appreciated that a quick decision was needed. He opted for a bright, town centre apartment close to a range of schooling options.
