Why:

Abingdon is a charming market town that combines riverside tranquillity with easy access to city life. The historic town is just outside Oxford and is popular with all generations.

Where:

Abingdon is located just five miles south of Oxford with excellent transport links to the M40 and M4. London commuters travel from nearby Didcot station to Paddington with journey times of about 40 minutes.

Many regular markets in Abingdon have been running since medieval times and you can find almost everything you need at one point or another in the month. Abingdon is well served for sporting enthusiasts with a large Sports Centre and Tennis Centre. For watersports enthusiasts this stretch of The Thames is popular for canoeing, sailing and paddleboarding.
