Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools ranked highly in Sunday Times Parent Power Guide

The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide is a highly respected authority on school rankings across the UK.  Their definitive guide to primary and secondary schooling is keenly regarded by parents keen to secure a place at one of the desirable institutions.

The latest Parent Power Guide for top secondary schools was published on 9th December 2024 and revealed that ten grammar schools in Buckinghamshire have been ranked among the top in the region for their ‘academic excellence’ and ‘exceptional’ range of extracurriculars.

Chesham Grammar School in Chesham was 29th.

Dr Challoner’s Grammar School in Amersham came 33rd.

Dr Challoner’s High School in Little Chalfont came 38th.

Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School in Marlow came 54th.

Beaconsfield High School in Beaconsfield came 57th. 

The Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe came 59th.

Aylesbury Grammar School in Aylesbury came 70th.

Wycombe High School in High Wycombe came 83rd.

Aylesbury High School in Aylesbury came 89th.

John Hampden Grammar school in High Wycombe came 90th.

The grammar schools in Buckinghamshire are highly sought after as they promise a high-quality education with all the extracurricular activities on offer. Due to strict catchment areas, many students are also within walking distance or a short bus ride away making the schools – and local areas – a very attractive option.
