Chiltern Relocation’s End of Summer Term Report!
As mums of grown-up kids, it still doesn’t stop the Chiltern Relocation team thinking about the year being shaped by school terms. We relocate a large number of clients who require school places so finding the right house, the right school, and in the right school catchment is very much part of our daily rhythm.
From our office window we enjoy seeing school children on their way to and from school, under the weight of sports bags or musical instruments. So, despite the fact that our own ‘babies’ are no longer at school we still feel part of the school year!
Chiltern Relocation works closely with families who plan their move in order for their child(ren) to start the new school year in September in addition to those who need an in-year place outside of normal start times.
As part of our due diligence, Chiltern Relocation is invited to visit local schools to keep up with their news and improvements so that we can advise our clients accordingly. Schooling is a very individual decision for parents and we understand the importance of providing guidance about all the different options. These range from the 11+ Transfer Test, the Buckinghamshire grammar schools, catchment areas and the excellent state and private schooling options. We have maps of catchment areas and of the local bus routes serving schools at a distance. We are able to provide excellent advice to help clients understand which options work best for primary and secondary and even university years.
As schools start to break up for the long summer break with their end of term events, we thought we would add our End of Term Report!

Chiltern Relocation has enjoyed a fantastic term with a wide variety of achievements and activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
A Dream Home Purchased:
Our private client home searches have been really rewarding this term. We particularly enjoyed helping a couple move out of London to their dream home in a village just north of Berkhamsted. The couple were keen to find their forever home but had been struggling to find what they wanted. Their major stipulation was for a character property within close proximity of a good commute to London. The search was not without its twists and turns, which involved Chiltern Relocation recommending many specialists, including a heritage surveyor, a timber specialist, structural engineers and dry rot experts. Our depth of local contacts and local knowledge meant that we were able to help navigate some challenging issues that were raised yet reach a successful outcome.
International corporate moves:
We have helped a large number of clients to move to the UK for their international posting. As part of our corporate contract with a Canadian organisation, we have successfully moved many individuals and families to new homes across the UK, thanks to our network of relocation professionals who cover areas from the Scottish Highlands to the Welsh coastline.
Word of mouth and family connections:
Word of mouth is one of our favourite ways to hear from new clients and it is even more rewarding when a recommendation comes from one of the families we have moved. This ‘term’ we have received new enquiries from the brother of a previous client who we moved to Amersham, the parents of a client who we moved to Beaconsfield and the mum of clients who we moved to Cookham. We are so grateful that our clients recommended us and that their experience was so positive that they now trust us with their family’s next chapter in life.
Indeed, one word of mouth referral resulted from previous clients chatting to a couple in a local pub. They shared their story as to how we helped and then shared our details. This couple subsequently got in touch the next day and we helped them to find their ideal home.
Nominated and Shortlisted for the EVAS – Enterprise Vision Awards
We are thrilled that Chiltern Relocation has been selected as a Finalist in the Customer Services category for the 2026 Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS). The EVAS Awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and the achievements of women in business, recognising those who have transformed ideas into successful ventures and made a meaningful impact within their industries. To be recognised among such an inspiring group of finalists is a tremendous honour.
As part of the award Chiltern Relocation was interviewed and delivered a presentation to a panel of judges.
Asked to Quote for Major Contract
An email landed in our inbox with a RFQ – Request for Quotation – to quote for a major international contract. We have excellent systems in place to deliver successful relocations across the whole UK as a result of our network of trusted and highly skilled relocation agents. Being asked to quote as a select number of relocation professionals for a highly respected organisation is a huge honour. Â
Invitation to The House of Lords
Chiltern Relocation was thrilled to receive a phone call from The Enterprise Vision Awards inviting us to The House of Lords for their annual celebration of women in business. Here Chiltern Relocation joined female founders, leaders, investors, policymakers and fellow women in business for afternoon tea and speeches and an iconic view of The Thames.
Visiting Previous Clients
Chiltern Relocation loves hearing from and meeting up with previous clients, and this term we were very touched to be invited to the Holy Communion of the son of one of our clients, who we moved from Glasgow to Marlow last year. Marlow is a particularly popular town and properties move very quickly so this was not a straightforward relocation and we got to know the family very well as a result. To be invited to share in their special family day was a real honour.
This ‘term’ we have also been invited to visit other clients to see their renovation projects and we are often invited for a drink in the local pub with clients to catch up on their news.
As this ‘term’ draws to a close and we look forward to all that the summer brings, we will also be looking forward to the ‘Back to School’ mode come September!
