Easter Fun in the Chilterns – fun children’s activities.
If you and the family are looking for ‘eggstra’ fun this Easter,, here are our top picks for trails, activities and holiday fun for all.
For all foodie’s out there, the Great Missenden Easter Food Festival will be hosting a huge range of activities over the Easter weekend (7th, 8th, 9th and, 10th April 2023). There will be a cookery theatre, have-a-go workshops, master classes for ages children’s cookery school and a wide range of artisan food on offer amongst many other stalls and events. Celebrity chefs and demonstrations from Rosemary Shrager, Simon Rimmer, Pierre Koffmann and Jean Christophe Novelli who will be cooking up a storm.
The National Trust has a winning formula in place for to Easter and keeping everyone happy.
Hughenden has an Easter Egg trail, Sat 1st – Sunday 16 April, 10am-5pm. An additional £3.00 per trail includes a free-from Rainforest Alliance Easter Egg.
Ashridge Estate Has decided not to do an Easter Egg trail this Easter to protect the fragile area of the estate during this time. However, they have a fabulous outdoor café and plenty of space to roam free.
Waddesdon Manor Easter Adventures at Waddesdon start Wed 29th March – Sun 15th April 2023. The rare and exotic Birds of Waddesdon’s Aviary are such a treat to see.
Cliveden After picking up an activity pack, there are ten activities to find around the estate, including an Easter trail, a complete with chocolate treat. Fri 31st March – 16th April 2023.
Chiltern Open Air Museum who are inviting you for Easter Holiday Fun. This includes an Easter hunt around the museum and having a go at fun Easter-themed family crafts. Open Fri 7th April – Mon 10th April 2023.
Odds Farm will be putting on a spring trail around the farm and bottle feeding the lambs and Easter crafts this year. 1st – 16th April 2023.
If you just fancy getting out and about and enjoying the fabulous Chilterns countryside, then head towards Black Park Country Park or Burnham Beeches Have come up with five woodland adventures to try with your family, 1 – Build a den 2 – Spot Wildlife, 3 – Go on a scavenger hunt, 4 – Make woodland art or 5 – Have a picnic.
