Rental Rush from isolating client in Andover
We recently had a call from a Canadian resident who had been relocated to Andover and was disappointed with the accommodation that met him on his arrival. Keen to move as soon as possible he enlisted our help.
With a dog also within the relocation bargain the house hunt was tougher as landlords generally prefer to rent their properties pet free. Equally challenging was that our client was in quarantine following his inbound flight and viewings would need to take place via FaceTime.
We quickly set to work researching the rental market in Andover, for the three year rental period required, to find only three properties listed as available and none of these would take pets so we were immediately up against not only a lack of rental supply – literally no supply!

Our agent asked that our client could view the property before it was listed online and a viewing was set up for 10am. The property sounded eminently suitable and excitement levels were high but we found out that there was to be another viewing at 10.30am.
When viewing rental properties it is all about timing. You have to act quickly if you are to secure a property as the rental market moves very fast. Given the property sounded a real possibility we needed to be in a position to move quickly.
Back at the office Sharon prepared all the documentation required if our client to proceed. We drew up an Offer Letter, Incorporating:

Copies of passports
Anti Money Laundering checks
These were prepared and ready to submit to the agent. The viewing via FaceTime was successful and the offer letter was submitted pre the 10.30am viewing thereby securing the property. We were thrilled that our agent’s research uncovered this rare rental opportunity, thrilled that our client was available and in a position to view and make a quick decision and pleased that the paperwork was ready to go. All in all an excellent mornings work!
