Sharon was thrilled to be featured in the My Buckinghamshire column in this month’s glossy Bucks & Berks Living magazine. Living magazines are the second largest regional news publisher in the UK and the Bucks and Berks edition enjoys a readership of over 24,000. The back page article ‘My Buckinghamshire’ always features a local person of interest in the form of Q&A about themselves, their business (if applicable) and what they love about the area. Sharon was delighted to share some insights into life at Chiltern Relocation and the local area. Below are a couple of the questions she was asked that she particularly enjoyed answering.
What has been your proudest achievement?
‘We are thrilled to have won a number of awards. But one particular relocation that I am proud (and honoured) to have been a part of was a couple, one with MS and the other with PTSD from the Iraq war. They needed a bungalow with a large garden to provide a calm space. A mobility scooter was required as our client wanted independence to get to the shops without driving on the road. We measured the width of pavements to check the scooter would fit, the distance to shops and the size of her scooter battery to see if it would cover that distance. It was the most rewarding search we have carried out in the last 16 years.’ See their case study here
What is your favourite thing to do on a day off?
Milo, our cocker spaniel, has opened up the chance to really see Bucks by getting out and walking everywhere. I love nothing more than a long dog walk finishing at The Grocer deli and café in Old Amersham who serve amazing salads, soups and toasties. In the afternoon, I love to visit Cliveden and, in the evening, my favourite spot is my local The Royal Standard of England, the oldest free house in England, 900 years old.
