Local Schools in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire scoop awards in national vote
Lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos has just released the results for their Best Schools Awards 2023. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Muddy Stilettos it is run by national lifestyle journalist Hero Brown (Independent on Sunday, The Observer, Red, Marie Claire, Elle) who provides her insider’s guide to help readers find the most exciting things to do in their local area and beyond – from eating out and arts and travel, to beauty, fitness, and fashion.
The success of the site is down to the incredibly useful local information that is tastefully curated and witty and thereby appealing to a wide audience. Founded as a business in Jan 2013, Muddy Stilettos currently has 1.2m monthly fans, nearly 275,000 subscribers, 250,000 social followers, and can now be found in 28 counties.
Muddy Stilettos is regularly featured in the broadsheet newspapers and glossy magazines and named one of the Top 20 Next Gen media brands in 2020.
A key draw to their site is the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Guide which gives their honest and fresh feedback. The reports are detailed and include information about facilities, the Head, academics, sport, music, pastoral care and particular strengths or quirks. At the start of each report there is a ‘Muddy says’ that summarises the school in a sentence.
