We received a call from a family based in Singapore who were keen to use our international relocation services to move back to the UK after nine years of living the expat lifestyle. With two boys aged 9 and 7 they felt that the time was right for their education to move back and they wished to be closer to family. The couple knew that there were many excellent local schools to choose from in the area including Davenies, The Beacon, Dair House School, Butlers Court and Thorpe House. Living through covid at a distance from family made the desire to move back even greater. Born in Bucks, the family knew the area well but appreciated that a property search agent would be able to find and secure a rental for them from a distance given the rental market moves so quickly.

We received a call from a couple keen to embrace countryside living at the weekends. Their weekdays living in London were somewhat stressful and they felt that a change of scene would be welcome. The couple had built a picture as to what their rural retreat would include and were keen to start the search. On this list of requirements was a character property, ideally on a private lane with no traffic, four bedrooms and importantly it needed to be detached for their ideal weekend getaway.

We received a call from a couple with family split between Australia and Buckinghamshire. They were living in Australia but needed to establish a base in the UK for six months of the year. The property needed to be a ‘lock up and leave’ so fairly modern and in a neighbourhood where it would not look out of place when it was unoccupied. The couple were also keen to be close to a station with easy access to London as they had many social contacts in town.

We received a call in July 2022 from a couple living in Portugal who wished to relocate back to England after a period abroad. They decided that they did not want to relocate back to the area where they had lived previously and they needed location advice and guidance on where to settle. After completing our questionnaire, we met the couple over videocall and established the motivation for the move back. They wanted to live close to green open spaces for walks with their dog but within reasonable commuting distance to London for work. The challenge for the purchase was time constrained because the couple needed to be back in the UK by October 2022.

A couple with a young daughter, and pregnant with their second, contacted us as they wished to move to the area and had undertaken a lot of research but needed help in finding the right property. The family wanted a generous house with an annexe, a good-sized south facing garden and easy commutability. They were keen to be within walking distance of an excellent primary school and the station – at no more than 0.4miles – and to have a range of secondary school options within a close radius.
